Soft Contact Lens – Custom Designed

Optometrist Advice on Custom-made Soft Contact Lenses

Soft Contact Lenses can be made for a nearly unlimited range of prescriptions.

They can be disposable on a 3 monthly basis, or other designs are replaced every 12-24 months.

They require more intensive cleaning and disinfection to keep them healthy for your eyes.

Some materials can be tinted. A light tint will help you find them when you are blurry because you don’t have your glasses on.

A medium or dark tint will affect the color of your eyes.

They can be made Spherical or with astigmatism depending on your requirements.

Custom made soft lenses are great lenses for those outside the "standard" range of prescriptions.

Daily Disposable Lenses – Wear them once then throw them away

Extended Wear Lenses – For those who wear lenses for long hours or want to sleep in lenses

Daily Care Lenses – Wear lenses in the day, take them out at night

Toric Lenses – For those with astigmatism

Multifocal Contact Lenses – For the over 40s

Novelty Lenses – crazy or realistic coloured lenses

Rigid Gas Permeable (RGP) Lenses – a stiffer lens that is custom made for excellent optics
